Chef 2 Chef is a documentary-style series that brings chefs together to share stories, culture, and craft, one dish at a time. We’re creating space for honest, unscripted conversations in kitchens across the country, preserving culinary legacies and celebrating the people behind the plate.
Chef 2 Chef is a documentary-style food series I created and produce, hosted by Lao-American chef Bob Somsith. Each episode invites viewers into an intimate, unscripted conversation between two chefs — paired with a beautifully coursed meal.
We film on-location inside the restaurants, where stories unfold naturally over three dishes. The show blends culinary storytelling, cultural identity, and raw, behind-the-scenes honesty — with no producers in the room and no talking points. Just good food and real conversation.
Season 1 features chefs from some of the most exciting kitchens in Austin, including Canje, Yellow Ranger, and Oseyo — with more episodes dropping every other Monday on YouTube.
